You should have used the rule of thirds here in my opinion

Hahaha! I actually shot it this way because the photos we turned in had to be cropped to 8x10. With the 8x10 crop, the photo fit the rule of thirds. But I got a lot of criticism saying the original, uncropped image had a better composition! So that's the version I decided to submit to my gallery!
