Visiting the neighborhood where I used to live!

I took this photo using a Cokin P007 (89B) infrared filter.

Amazing image. I love infrared photos...they show such a different perspective of our world that would otherwise be unseen.

I just noticed that "Infrared Photography Made Easy" link. Thanks for that! I've wanted to give IR a try, but wasn't sure how to go about it beyond getting an IR filter.

I used to use an infrared filter on the outside of my camera lens, but then I got my camera converted at [link] and WOW! Huge difference! I no longer have to use a tripod with a long exposure to get an infrared photo. It's so much easier and I get much better photos! I definitely recommend it!

Thank you for the link! I only own one camera body right now, but I plan to move up to at least a 50D, if not the Full-Frame 5D, near the end of next year. After that, I think an IR conversion of my current camera would be ideal. :)

looks like a dust spot on the sensor, top left quarter of the image. Beautiful image though :)
